Welcome to the Elemental School for Misfits! I actually made this site a while ago, but it went inactive. So now, after a few heartwrenching years of sadness and regret, I returned to my beloved forum. I've given it a makeover, and now it's ready for a wave of new and active members! A plotline will start when there are enough characters. So waltz in, have a look around and maybe think about joining!

 A morning Bite [Open]
« Thread Started on Feb 28, 2009, 9:43pm »

It was about 5 in the morning when Jazz had woken up. She moved her hand up and through her hair. Her eyes trailed down for a moment and then she let herself fall back. It had been like this for the past few days and she hated it. She kept in bed until it was about seven before she decided she really had to get outside. Pushing herself up she stepped out of bed and dug up some clothes.

She settled this time with a small sleeveless top and a pair of long jeans. She didn't wear any shoes as usual. Something which often made people raise their eyebrows at her. She then walked out of the room and down the steps to the canteen. As she arrived there she noticed that since it was weekend not many people where already out and about. All the best.

Settling with a salad and some milk she leaned her elbow on the table while she poked in the salad with a fork. She hadn't bothered with her hair yet so it looked like a fuzzball which was placed on top of her head. Not that she minded yet. She hadn't looked into the mirror. Moving her hand through her hair she noticed her fingers got stuck every now and then. She shrugged and took a bite of her salad.

For now she would have some quiet time at last... but as the door opened she knew it would be over. Her eyes trailed to the side and she sat up a bit.

I'm two different people,
and they were both meant for you.
but you are only one person,
and I'm torn...

Zane was the one who was almost twenty minutes late to class because he slept in. And on the weekends, if it weren't for his dorm-mates he would sleep until four in the afternoon. So, why did he get up at seven? The stupid dorm-mates forgot to close the window, and the light of the early morning sun shone into the room. Did I mention that the window was open? I soft, chilly breeze rolled into his room, and the birds chirped sweet songs. The trees swayed in the breeze, and the sun made everything look gold. To any normal person, this would look like a scene of life, beauty an nature.

But of course, Zane wasn't normal.

He woke up and grunted, shutting the blinds, but he couldn't get back to sleep. He got up and pulled on some skinny jeans, leaving his feet ad chest bare. He ran his fingers through his hair and walked out the door. Maybe food would make him sleepy. He brushed the sleep from his eyes and pushed open the door.

There was no-one there except a girl with tattoos up her arms. He smiled and grabbed a bacon and egg roll, and plopped down on a chair on the same table of the girl. He smiled his charming smile and said "Zane. You?"

As the guy plopped down on a chair at the same table as her Jazz just stared at him and rose one eyebrow before she took another bite of her salad. He then suddenly said something and it took her a minute to figure out what he wanted. She swallowed what she just had in her mouth and looked him over before she spoke up.

"Jazz."

She stated. She knew most people found it a funny name. But she kinda liked it. Better than her full name anyway. She would get the creeps when someone would call her full name. She once more took a bite of her salad and now took the time to chew her food before she swallowed it down like before. Her eyes kept on the guy who she now knew to be named Zane.

"Why up so early?"

She asked after a moment. She was just very curious. IF this would become a habit she would have more company here than she would be able to imagine. Since she had never really figured anyone would want to have her in their company. After all she looked like some punk girl.

Zane munched on his roll as the girl, around his age, looked him up and down. She seemed...cool. Zane liked the tattoos, they suited her. He played with his nose ring, waiting for her answer. "Jazz" He smiled. Jazz was an awesome name. He had a feeling one of his cousins had that name, but probably not - he just had alot of cousins. He swallowed his mouthful of bacon. It burned his tongue, and woke him up a little. He would probably never get back to sleep now.

He was just about to talk about her tattoos when Jazz said "Why up so early?" Ahh, good question. Zane laughed, "My dorm mates left the window open, and the blinds open as-well. So the sun woke me up, but don't worry, I usually sleep in until ten or eleven in the morning, so I wont be bothering you again." He shrugged his shoulders and nods at her "what about you, or do you like being up this early? Miss the rush of kids waiting for breakfast?"

Zane hated the rush. Yesterday morning, a little fourth grader kid pushed him, and Zane picked him up and threw him on a table and ran around him, and because Zane had super speed, the kid threw up because he was dizzy. The kid screamed so loud. Zane got in a ton of trouble.
But, the school year hadn't actually started, but there were a few pushy shovy kids around the school. Zane just couldn't help himself.
